Noveria: Smuggling is an Assignment in Mass Effect. Noveria: Smuggling is __description__. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.

Noveria: Smuggling Walkthrough

Talk to Opold to learn about the speacial package he received, and how he can not get it past the guards and scanners in the docking bay. If you have enough Charm or Intimidate points, you can learn that said package has been placed outside the Normandy, in the docking bay and it is meant for the Krogan bounty hunter Inamorda.

Once you retrieve it, the package contains a random Ammunition Upgrade scaled to your current level. With the mod in your possession, you may choose different ways to complete the Assignment:

The simplest, is to return the package to Opold to obtain 250 Credits. If you Charm or Intimidate him, you will be able to earn 500 Credits.
Get the name of the buyer from Opold. You can get it anytime, as long as the package has not been delivered to anyone yet. You will learn that Inamorda a Krogan bounty hunter, is the buyer. He can be found on the second floor of the Port Hanshan Mezzanine and will offer you 500 credits to get the package. Charm or Intimidate options can make the offer go up to 750 credits and you will receive Renegade points.
You can decide to report the smuggling operation to Adminsitrator Anoleis. He will give you a Garage Pass and 200 Credits. Using the Charm or Intimidate options will let you keep the upgrade as well. If you tell Opold what you did, he is afraid that guards will come for him and asks you to leave. Inamorda, on the other hand, tells you he is about to have a long chat with Opold before leaving. If you completed the Mission Noveria: Lorik Qui'in you won't be able to pursue this path.
You can keep the mod and tell that to Opold. Inamorda will disappear from the Mezzanine and will be waiting outside of the Normandy, the next time you return to it, to attack you.

Regardless of the option you have chosen, Opold will continue doing business with you if you want to trade with him.

How to unlock Noveria: Smuggling

To obtain Noveria: Smuggling you have to talk to Opold, a Hanar shopkeeper that can be found in Port Hanshan Plaza near the elevator to Noveria's docking bay. He tells you about a special package he received and how you can help him smuggle it for him.
