Citadel: Planting a Bug is an Assignment in Mass Effect. Citadel: Planting a Bug is about helping Wong's traffic controllers investigation. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.

Citadel: Planting a Bug Walkthrough

Wong tells you that she is going to do a story on overworked traffic controllers. She needs audio and visual evidence for her story. so she gives you a bug and asks you to plant in the traffic control center of C-Sec.

If you agree to do it, go into the C-Sec Academy and plant it near the keeper that is in the control room. Return to Wong for your reward.

If you choose "It's a good cause" you get 2 Paragon Points, credits and Experience points.
If you choose "You're welcome" you get 2 Paragon Points, credits and Experience points.
If you choose "This was the last time" you get Credits and Experience points, but no Paragon Points.

You have, 2 alternate routes to complete this Assignment.

Paragon Alternate route: After she gives you the bug, talk to her again. You can tell her that you've changed your mind (Charm dialogue option, Requires Charm at level 4) and state that the controllers may lose their jobs. You will earn 8 Paragon points, the same amount of Experience points for actually planting the bug, and Credits.
Renegade Alternate Route: Intimidate (Requires Intimidate level 5) her to convince her you've already planted the bug. You will earn 9 Renegade points, the same amount of Experience points for actually planting the bug, Credits and +10 Omni-Gel.

How to unlock Citadel: Planting a Bug

You need to complete Citadel: Reporter's Request first to obtain this Assignment. You can find her at the Citadel Tower, down the steps from the Council's audience room. You also need to complete one of the core Missions (Feros, Noveria or Therum), before this Assignment becomes available.
