Combat Scanner is a Weapon Upgrade in Mass Effect 1. Combat Scanner is specifically designed to enhance the effectiveness of your Weapon granting Detection Level 7 and can be applied to Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles and Pistols to augment them. Weapon Upgrades are used to enhance the offensive or defensive capacities to the Weapon they are slotted into, and can be purchased from Merchants or looted from containers. 

 

Combat Scanner Information:

Some enemies use jamming technology to block your weapon radar. The combat scanner upgrade improves detection levels, making these enemies visible.
