Frictionless Materials is a Weapon Upgrade in Mass Effect 1. Frictionless Materials is specifically designed to enhance the effectiveness of your Weapon granting +7% Damage Bonus, +28% Heat Damping and can be applied to Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles and Pistols to augment them. Weapon Upgrades are used to enhance the offensive or defensive capacities to the Weapon they are slotted into, and can be purchased from Merchants or looted from containers.
