High Caliber Barrel is a Weapon Upgrade in Mass Effect 1. High Caliber Barrel is specifically designed to enhance the effectiveness of your Weapon granting +14% Damage Bonus, -20% Rate of Fire Penalty and -20% Heat Absorption Penalty and can be applied to Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles and Pistols to augment them. Weapon Upgrades are used to enhance the offensive or defensive capacities to the Weapon they are slotted into, and can be purchased from Merchants or looted from containers.  

 

High Caliber Barrel Information:

Fires larger rounds for more damage. However, the rate of fi re is slowed and the weapon will overheat more quickly.
