Shields is a Defensive Stat in Mass Effect. Shields are rechargeable defensive protections that prevent you from suffering damage. Defensive Stats are determined by your Class Talent and Equipment.

- Shields are rechargeable defensive protections that prevent you from suffering damage.
How to increase Shields
- All Armor grant shields, Heavy Armor grant more shields than Medium Armor and Light Armor
- Kinetic Buffer, Kinetic Exoskeleton, Shield Battery, Shield Modulator, Shield Interface and Hazard Seals also boost your shields.
- All Omni-Tools grant shield bonus, except the Chameleon Tool.
