Asgard is one of the two systems located inside the Exodus Cluster in Mass Effect. Asgard is named after one of the nine worlds that surround the mythical tree Yggdrasil, it is said to be the location where the Norse gods live.
Three of the four planets within Asgard, Borr, Loki and Tyr, are named after members from the Norse Pantheon.
Asteroid X57 is orbiting Terra Nova, and the whole DLC Bring down the Sky is centered about its imminent collision with the planet.
